Passengers

At Drop Taxi Service, we are committed to serving you and creating the best and safest possible environment for you to reach to your desired destination. As such, we have made changes and updates to our Fee Structure, Cancellation Fees & Policies and Hourly Hire service.

The major change is that we are switching to distance and time with our base rate of $25 and $1.25 per km.

These changes will come into effect at mid-night this Wed 13th June 2018. During the hours of 1am to 5am there will be a 15% surcharge added to the regular rate card.

These policy changes are intended to continue providing you with the best possible customer service and experience.

DROP connects drivers and passengers in a secure network. When you order a ride via a toll free call or via the app, a driver will be on his way to deliver door-to-door service.
Yes, you can - pre-booking will remain on DROP’s original fare structure of Flat Rates by zone. Please note that all pre-bookings can be made a minimum of 2 hours in advance of the desired pick-up time.

We provide optimum safety for our customers, with driver background checks and transmission of your driver’s photo as well as car photo and registration, via the app.
Passengers can pay using a credit card, or pay drivers directly with cash.
All rides can be booked via our app and website 24 hours a day, however if you prefer to book by calling our dispatch centre, phone bookings can be made Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm, and Saturday from 10am to 2pm.
On Demand bookings
• A cancellation fee of $20 for “Ride Requests” cancelled AFTER 5 minutes of a ride being confirmed and accepted will be charged to customers.
• However, cancellations WITHIN 5 minutes of a booking acceptance will NOT attract a cancellation fee.
• Cancellation charges for cash customers will be charged to customer accounts for future rides.
• Cancellation charges for credit card registered customers will be charged immediately.

Pre-Bookings
• Cancellation of a pre-booking must be made a minimum of 1 hour in advance of scheduled pick-up.
• A cancellation fee of $40 per request for requests cancelled WITHIN 1 Hour of scheduled pick-up will be charged to customers.
• If a cancellation is made prior to 1 hour before pick-up time, this will NOT attract a cancellation fee.
• Cancellation charges for cash customers will be charged to customer accounts for future rides.
• Cancellation charges for credit card registered customers will be charged immediately.
For customers wishing to hire rides on an hourly basis, a minimum of 2 hours at a rate of $175 per hour can be requested based on availability. Every additional hour is charged at $175. This service can only be booked via the dispatch center during office hours.

Drivers

Definitely. If you already have a job, you can drive for a few hours after work, or perhaps just on weekends. It’s up to you.
All DROP drivers are thoroughly screened. We require a police certificate of good character, your home address, and we also ask that you ensure your car’s inspection approval is up to date.
